Scanners

Overhead book scanners

There are four overhead book scanners available which you may use on your own. Scanning is free of charge. The Bookeye scan system is especially suitable for quick and gentle scanning of books and journals. You can scan documents up to DIN A 2 with the colour scanners and save your scanned data on a USB flash drive or your mobile phone/tablet (app “scan2mobile” is necessary).

One of these scanners is located in the departmental library 2 and two scanners are located at the departmental library 3 on the 9th floor. Another scanner is located in the departmental library 6 at Campus Haspel.

Flatbed scanners

There is one flatbed scanner which is connected to a computer workstation of the Pc-pool on the floor 9. Here, you can scan, save, and edit documents up to DIN A 4. If you want to use these workstations, you will have to log in with your user account.

Other scanning facilities

One computer workstation in the departmental library 3 is equipped with a feed scanner which allows the scanning of a single document up to DIN A 4 as well as a bunch of documents (with a maximum input capacity of 10 sheets). You will also find a small overhead scanner at another computer workstation in the PC reading room. For using these two workstations you will have to log in with your user account.
