Academic publishing

One of the central aspects of scientific work is to publish the results of your research. The publication shows not only the results of all your work but also your expertise. It fundamentally helps to increase the visibility of your own research and thereby the output of the whole university.

 

In March 2019 the University of Wuppertal published a publication policy for researcher and visiting scientists. This policy contains the uniform spelling of the university's name in all affiliations within the whole process of publishing. Moreover, it informs about what details to give on further affiliations and on how to deal with multiple institutional responsibilities.

 

On August 27th, 2015 the university has already defined some principles and recommendations concerning the handling of research data (in German):

 

Academic publishing also includes an academic identity management. Therefore you should continuously maintain your own author profile. Author profiles such as ORCID help to ensure that authors are clearly identifiable. Specifically on ORCID there is some detailed information compiled for you.
